Grassy Hill Radio - Streaming Web Folkie Station
Grassy Hill Radio is a thing of beauty. Commercial free folk radio with a super simple website that shows you who is "now playing" and the last four songs. Simple. And what is even more shocking, they don't want you to send money!!!

That interface is nice and simple. I love the idea of live playlists and this made me think of a few stations that do similar things (though they are not folk stations nor are do they use such a simple interface).
KPIG broadcasts out of Freedom, CA (near Santa Cruz) and they have a front page playlist, but what is more interesting is their playlist from the last 6 hours:

Each song is clickable and you get the typical stuff--Specific information about the artist, song and album, plus a link to All Music Guide and links to places to order the site. But what is interesting is he place to attach comments making each song the potential start of a discussion.
I know of two other stations that are providing detailed playlists on the spot (and archived).
KFJC broadcasting from Los Altos Hills, CA

(Sorry, they will ask for money, they are in the midst of a fund-raiser.) They also provide a sorted list of the most played songs of any given week.
WMFU broadcasting from NYC and the Hudson Valley, NY

They have an interesting twist, too. Some of their archived playlists stream each individual song.
Mmm, looks like more great stations to check out. I find lately I'm abandoning my CDs. Sssssh. Don't tell the record labels!
OK, one more fun one. WFMU Crapola page!!
