The Snowsuit Effort - Sammi
Eloquent, visual, compelling. Check out The Snowsuit Effort , the work of photographer Ryan (last name?). Daily photographs of people from the streets of Detroit. Who needs words?
The power of the visual is something that is just now seeping into the corners of our online tribes.

His last name is Keberly. His site wa s featured in a tech column in the Detroit Free Press about a year ago, and was just recently featured on Michigan Public Radio
Thanks, Mark!
Hm, Keberly's info is really interesting!
Here from the article Mark pointed to:
"# Personal background: Keberly is a 28-year-old interactive designer. He grew up in Livonia, attended Livonia Franklin High School, graduated from Wayne State University and recently purchased a home with his fiance in Royal Oak. He says his love for photography is influenced by his father; as a youth his dad snapped feature photos for his local newspaper in Uniontown, Pa. His photographs have been both a source of inspiration for his son and a benchmark for technique, quality and composition.
# Blog theme: The Snowsuit Effort focuses on telling the stories behind the changing landscape of the metro Detroit area.
# How long online: Keberly has been blogging sporadically for the past four years but wiped the slate clean, deleted the archives and relaunched in April 2004.
# Why blog? He created the Snowsuit Effort because he wanted to establish a dialogue with the community. He says that as he watched southeastern Michigan evolve over the years, he was struck with the desire to investigate the people behind the neighborhoods -- to learn the stories of those who not only live in metro Detroit, but rely on metro Detroit: shopkeepers, the working poor, homeless people, panhandlers, etc.
# How often is it updated? Every weekday (and occasional weekends) with a new photograph."
